The Mandela Effect
The Mandela Effect is an unusual phenomenon where a large group of people remembers something differently than how it occurred. Conspiracy theorists believe the Mandela Effect is a result of alternate universes present in society. The Mandela Effect first got its name when Fiona Broome remembered South African President Nelson Mandela dying in prison in the 1980s. She swore there was major news coverage of this, yet, this didn't happen. She later found out that the vast majority of people remembered Nelson Mandela dying in his prison cell as well. As a result, the Mandela Effect was "born."
I really like these types of things as well as conspiracy theories. I 100% believe that the Mandela Effect is real. You can find some great examples of the Mandela Effect online. Everyone has most likely experienced the Mandela Effect at some point in time. It's crazy to me how a whole group of people can remember something so distinctively, yet this isn't how it is at all.

I just recently read about this as well! So weird and interesting.
ReplyDeleteI love reading about stuff like this. I've recently been doing some research on the idea of having multiple realities and I found that they say there are an infinite amount of realities constantly occurring, and with every decision we make we enter a new reality. So basically, realities are always changing, which would explain why the Mandala Effect exists.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of the mandela effect but that's crazy to think that there's an alternate universe present in society and that that is what causes people to remember things differently.
